Presentation of the project "WEB bankruptcy"
ZAGREB - The project "High Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia - Web Bankruptcy" was presented in the Government on Friday. The project should ensure the transparency of bankruptcy procedures and allow potential buyers in Croatia and abroad simple access to information on bankruptcy assets offered for sale.
The project concerns a specialized bilingual (Croatian and English) web page which follows bankruptcy procedures led before all commercial courts. The web page offers an overview of bankruptcy regulations, information on bankruptcy judges and trustees as well as photographs, land registry excerpts and value estimates of the assets sold in bankruptcy proceedings. The Minister of Justice Ana Lovrin stated that this is another step in judicial reform and prevention of corruption through establishing a more efficient and transparent public administration. She pointed out that the project was realized in cooperation between the Ministry and the non-governmental association Judge's Web and it did not burden the state budget. The President of the High Commercial Court Srdan Simac pointed out that this is "a world unique project fully envisioned and implemented by domestic intelligence".
