Tribune "From Lisbon Strategy to Europe 2020."
The Lisbon Strategy was marked by the past decade as an important strategic development framework of the European Union. Its implementation is completed in 2010. while in the 2011. began implementing a new strategy for Europe 2020, partly by continuing the program initiated reforms with a stronger focus on knowledge and innovation, economic growth, employment, social cohesion, and low-carbon economy. The crisis has not undermined the confidence of European business professionals in the positive effects of reforms in the wake of the Lisbon Strategy, although it has not fully met expectations.
Strategy for Europe 2020. attaches great importance to stronger oversight and development of instruments of economic management based in a stronger macroeconomic, structural and budgetary control. The Tribune will present the most important messages recently published in the book "From the Lisbon Strategy to Europe 2020" edited by Višnja Samardžija and Hrvoje Butković, and published by the Institute of International Affairs with support from the Delegation of the European Union in Croatia.
